Purpose

These terms and conditions set out the booking arrangements and conditions of stay at La Cour des Lauriers.

Any confirmed booking implies full and unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions, which are provided to the guest before confirmation of the stay.

Booking

A booking request may be made by telephone, by email or through the contact form available on the website.

Submitting a request does not constitute a confirmed booking and does not guarantee the availability of the requested room.

The booking becomes final once it has been confirmed in writing by La Cour des Lauriers by email.

The confirmation states the dates of the stay, the room booked, the number of guests and the applicable rate.

Rates

Rates are stated in euros and include:

  • accommodation;
  • breakfast.

Tourist tax is not included in the room rate. It is charged separately at the rate in force set by the relevant local authority.

As of the date of publication of these terms and conditions:

  • €140 per night for one guest, including breakfast;
  • €160 per night for two guests, including breakfast;
  • €30 per night for an additional guest in the Anthracite room, including breakfast.

Rates are the same throughout the year, unless otherwise stated and communicated to the guest before the booking is confirmed.

Payment

The total cost of the stay, any additional services and the tourist tax are payable in cash at the time of departure.

No deposit or advance payment is required.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in is available from 4:00 pm.

Check-out must take place before 11:30 am.

In the event of a late arrival, please inform La Cour des Lauriers as soon as possible.

Cancellation by the guest

Any cancellation must be communicated to La Cour des Lauriers by email or telephone.

A cancellation made by telephone must be confirmed by email.

If the booking is cancelled at least 72 hours before the scheduled arrival date, no payment is due.

If the booking is cancelled less than 72 hours before the scheduled arrival date, the cost of the first night remains payable.

In the event of a no-show, the cost of the first night remains payable.

In the event of an early departure after the stay has begun, the nights already used and the services already provided remain payable.

Cancellation by La Cour des Lauriers

If La Cour des Lauriers has to cancel a booking before the guest’s arrival, no payment will be due from the guest.

An alternative date or equivalent accommodation may be offered where possible. The guest remains free to accept or decline this proposal.

No right of withdrawal

In accordance with the regulations applicable to accommodation services provided on a specific date or during a specific period, the guest does not benefit from the fourteen-day right of withdrawal.

The cancellation conditions set out in these terms and conditions apply as soon as the booking is confirmed.

Services

Breakfast

Breakfast is included in the room rate.

Savoury options, such as eggs, cheese or cold meats, may be provided on request for an additional charge.

Table d’hôtes

The table d’hôtes dinner is available by prior reservation and subject to availability.

The price is €40 per person, excluding drinks.

Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.

Any cancellation made less than 24 hours before the meal will result in the meal being charged in full.

Pets

Small pets are accepted only by prior arrangement.

An additional charge of €10 per day and per pet applies.

Use of the premises

All rooms are non-smoking.

Guests are asked to respect the peace and quiet of the property, the other guests and the surrounding neighbourhood.

Any damage attributable to the guest, anyone accompanying them or their pet may be charged to the guest.

Liability

Guests are asked to take care of their personal belongings and not to leave valuables unattended.

The liability of La Cour des Lauriers in the event of loss, theft or damage is governed by the applicable legal provisions, including Articles 1952 to 1954 of the French Civil Code.

Parking

Free parking spaces are available in front of the property or in the village, approximately two to three minutes’ walk away.

Parking is available in public spaces and vehicles remain the responsibility of their owners.

Personal data

Information collected in connection with an enquiry or booking is used to respond to the guest, arrange the booking and manage the stay.

Complaints

In the event of a difficulty or complaint, guests are invited to contact La Cour des Lauriers by email in the first instance in order to seek an amicable solution.

Any complaint should describe the circumstances of the dispute and, where relevant, include any documents required for its review.

Applicable law

These terms and conditions are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, the parties will endeavour to reach an amicable solution before initiating legal proceedings.
